Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) is hiring a Designer with 2 to 7 years of experience. You’ll be based out of their office in New York, New York. This is an opportunity to assist their immediate supervisor in cooperation with the project team to develop high quality design and construction documents. KPF is looking for someone who will apply theoretical knowledge to practical application through the day-to-day tasks assigned.

Responsibilities

• Strategize overall project vision, delivery methods, and goals across various project phases, from concept to completion
• Apply both theoretical and practical architecture skills to win and execute large-scale, visionary competitions
• Develop sustainable strategies for LEED certification and made design decisions aligned with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
• Produce detailed drawing sets for tender issuance and facade visual mock-ups; lead project-specific coordination meetings
• Use Rhino for complex 3D modeling and Revit/CAD for producing full construction documentation and coordination drawings
• Create high-quality visualizations with 3ds Max and V-Ray to convey spatial experience and design intent
• Design architectural façade systems for hybrid facilities and collaborated with consultants across landscape, lighting, and interiors
• Liaise directly with clients to understand objectives, guide design direction, and support their marketing strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 2-7 years of relevant architectural design experience
• Architectural license preferred; LEED accreditation preferred
• Experience with building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
• Experience with site planning, zoning analysis, and relevant code compliance
• Construction Administration experience a plus
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, D5, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is required

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage deadlines
