Form4 Architecture is hiring a Project Architect with 10+ years of experience. You’ll be based out of their office in San Francisco, USA, with the option to work remotely. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team while working on architectural projects. Form4 Architecture is looking for someone with a strong understanding of building materials, details, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules and work plans. Plan and oversee project documentation
• Apply firm standards and conduct ongoing QC review of the documents
• Review project regarding construction standards, code, and ADA requirements
• Collaborate with the project team members on design solutions and documentation
• Resolve complex technical / design issues
• Communicate with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction
• Develop construction documentation drawings and provide construction administration duties
• Lead the production team

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Architect on suitable commercial office, school and retail projects with a minimum of 8 years in the role.
• Experience leading, managing, and mentoring a project team
• Strong organization, communication, and relationship management skills
• Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam required, and InDesign preferred
• A well-developed design sense and excellent graphical skills
• Strong understanding of building materials, details, and construction
• Ability to develop excellent construction drawing details that support ambitious design solutions
• Architectural license in the State of California
