The new Studio collection from Carnegie celebrates the innovative brand’s 75-year history, marking the milestone of boundary-pushing designs, performance and sustainability technologies.

Comprising six new Signature Xorel products, four upholstery fabrics and three wood-look vinyl-alternative wallcoverings, the Studio collection from Carnegie blends fresh contemporary appeal with classic wovens, elaborate embroideries and couture-inspired metallic embossing. Durable and cleanable, Xorel is made from 91 per cent bio-based content (rapidly renewable sugarcane) and polyethylene yarns; the material has a dramatically reduced carbon footprint compared to fossil fuel-based products.

Suitable for use as wallcoverings and upholstery, the six new Xorel patterns include Chisel Embroider, a mid-scale design with intricate tonal stitching and rich dimensionality inspired by topographic forms (in five colours); and Cloister Embroider, a multi-coloured, large-scale embroidery with rhythm and energy (in five colours).

With Dahlia Couture, an enchanting mid-scale floral motif is accented by matte metallics to create a sophisticated expression (in three colours), while Vienna, a beautiful jacquard, features a mid-scale all-over geometric design (in five colours).

The last two Xorel products in the Studio collection from Carnegie are Linen, a classic neutral inspired by the material it’s named for (in 10 colours); and Ennis, a textural solid with a matte finish (in six colours).

The four upholstery fabrics in the Studio collection both celebrate Carnegie’s creative heritage and embrace current trends with boldness and sophistication. Made from 100 per cent silicone, Ophelia has a realistic leather look and supple hand (in 18 colours); and the velvet-like Joli offers a luxurious appeal enhanced by outstanding durability (in 18 colours).

A Crypton fabric, Moreland boasts a sumptuous texture and super-soft hand due to its chenille poly yarn (in 10 colours); and the loudest of the bunch, Parallelogram, is an expressive three-dimensional multicolour weave that nods to antique tapestries and traditional weaving techniques (in five colours).

Lastly, the three wood-look vinyl-alternative wallcoverings in the Studio collection from Carnegie are Briarwood, a sun print rendition of an olive tree grove (in four colours); the watercolour-inspired hibiscus patterned Sap (in four colours); and Timber, which features a timeless wood grain texture (in eight colours).
