As part of its fundraising campaign, join DesignTO for an exclusive house tour in Toronto’s Swansea neighbourhood. In 2021, Founder and Creative Director of hollis+morris Mischa Couvrette decided to build a family home in a quiet neighbourhood nestled near the Humber River, where every detail considers the human experience. Outfitted with Couvrette’s own light fixtures and custom furniture, the house also became a testing ground for new hollis+morris products, of which a dozen are featured throughout. Collaborating with Jonathan Mandeville, a longtime friend and architect of Halifax-based Passage Studio, the house draws from Scandinavian and Canadian coastal architecture. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the urban forest behind the house, creating a peaceful retreat for the family of four.
