Architect David Chipperfield designed the Riberia collection for iGuzzini as a harmonious embodiment of light and form, one that complements architecture and quietly yet powerfully enhances the character and atmosphere of a setting.
The Riberia collection from iGuzzini is rooted in pure volume, reduced and simplified to balance presence and discretion. Through calculated subtraction, a central void in the thinned-out body appears and is embedded with a miniaturized Opti Diamond optic lens, lending elegance and sophistication while emitting a soft, even light.
These mini lenses are integrated along the circular crown of the fixture and feature patented technology that creates the “space effect,” a balanced brilliance with visual comfort and high efficiency.
To achieve aesthetic consistency across installations, the Riberia collection from iGuzzini is available in ceiling, wall-mount, and bollard iterations, each expressing the same distinct style. With one version or all three, exterior settings become versatile and cohesive environments.
The elements in the Riberia collection are made from recycled and recyclable die-cast aluminum and are available in timeless white, black or grey, earthy rust and bold clay-red; the miniaturized Opti Diamond optic lens is offered in white transparent or black transparent and in flush or frame versions. Even when turned off, the diamond lens produces a distinctive look.
Furthering the versatility of the Riberia collection is the option for a No Dot variant lens that creates a continuous ring of light (in the frame version) to beautifully accent hospitality and residential projects; or an Opti Smart lens (for the flush version), with asymmetric distribution (forward and sideways) suitable for installations in gardens, pathways and walkways.
Easy to maintain and engineered to be highly durable and long-lasting (with over 100,000 hours of useful life), the Riberia collection from iGuzzini is constructed without glues or silicones and can be fully disassembled and recycled.
