Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

1 Toast by AK47
This oxidized steel fire pit, designed by Ivano Losa, keeps dry wood at hand with built-in log storage. Available in 2.5- or 1.5-metre-square versions, with or without a grill surface, the burning chamber can be closed off with a lid when not in use.

2 Prism by Terrain
The home and garden brand’s geometric chiminea is handcrafted from heavy-gauge raw steel. It takes on a unique patina over time and with exposure to the elements.

3 Smokestack by Frederik Roijé
Industrial chimneys provided the inspiration for this two-metre-tall, modern-rustic cylindrical stove. Once in use, the white Corten steel form develops a warm, rusted finish.

4 Fire Vase by Martin Azúa
The Spanish designer collaborated with ceramicist Marc Vidal on this tabletop piece that makes dining al fresco a little cozier as summer fades. Hand-turned from a special type of clay that withstands high temperatures and thermal shock, each piece is numbered and signed.

5 Fire Pit table tops by Paloform
The fireplace brand has released a new series of heavy gauge aluminum covers for its Bento, Miso and Soba models. In white, graphite or black powder coat, the lightweight covers instantly transform the fire pits into coffee-height tables once the fire is out.
