Lasvit, Prague’s leading manufacturer of glass and crystal objects showed off three chandeliers created by top designers: Fabio Novembre of Italy, Mathieu Lehanneur of France and Japan’s Nendo.
A marvel in its scale and vision, the bold and beautiful exhibition has been grabbing everyone’s attention at Superstudio Più in Zona Tortona. Lehanneur’s Soft Geometry chandelier takes the form of a rocket-shaped crystal surrounded by glowing white bubbles. With its large glass spikes coming at you in all directions, Novembre’s resembles an exploding comet, and is by far the most shocking in terms of scale and unabashed grandeur
But Nendo stole show with a delicate collection of white balloon-like globes suspended from strings. The cluster of translucent globes, each handblown and unique, hung in the darkened gallery space like a shimmering cloud.
