French designer Matali Crasset was on hand at Campeggi’s booth yesterday, testing out her new Dynamic Life. The low-lying sofa’s five seat-cushions fold out like fingers to reveal a bright yellow mattress.
Dynamic Life is just one of nine new products that the Italian furniture company – which loves to build a bit of fun into everything they make – is launching. Their irreverent designs include the pouffe vacuum and the barstool with bike pedal footrests, which are being shown alongside the brand’s latest inventions.
Designer Emanuele Magini is debuting two new seating designs: Siesta, a green metal bench with a mesh sling for a seat; and the Sosia lounger. The latter also drew crowds as Campeggi staff demonstrated how two lounge seats can be zipped together to create a cocoon-like nest for a bit of privacy. They can also be unzipped and turned into a pair of matching chairs. Other new items by Campeggi include Denis Santachiara’s Santapouf, and a nesting chair by Sakura Adachi.
