Caesarstone, the 26-year-old purveyor of engineered stone surfaces, hosted over 850 of Toronto’s designers, architects, fabricators, retailers and media at an elaborate gala during the city’s fashion week. There, it also launched its new collection of stain-, scratch- and crack-resistant quartz for such applications as kitchen countertops, backsplashes, bathroom vanities, wall panelling, and flooring.

The event, called Reveal 2014 and held at the Fermenting Cellar in the historic Distillery District, showcased the latest additions to Caesarstone’s Classico line through art installations created in conjunction with local advertising agency Community.

Each display featured a stylish female form fashioned from Caesarstone material; through the use of spotlights, the sculptures’ dramatic shadowy silhouettes were cast on the building’s exposed concrete walls.

Colours from fashion runways around the world inspired the six neutral shades: glossy granite-textured Bianco Drift, subdued Alpine Mist, dark and bold Coastal Grey, rich Vanilla Noir with contrasting veins, warm and natural Clamshell, and warm speckled Summer Rye. Slabs of each new hue hung from the ceiling, all around the room.
