For the 30th edition of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), North America’s platform for global design happening May 20-23 in New York, the Ceramics of Italy Pavilion will showcase the latest designs and technologies in Italian ceramics. Organized by Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Agency, 15 premier Italian brands will show products ranging from sleek sanitaryware to ceramic and porcelain tiles popping with colour and pattern.
The member Italian companies located in the Ceramics of Italy Pavilion will highlight new collections that are at the forefront of sustainability, innovation and design trends. Each tile carefully considers the needs of architects and designers, and are made with an intricate level of detail and the quality expected from Italian design. These tiles include metal, stone and marble looks that capture the details of each natural material to an impressive level of accuracy, thanks to advancements in digital printing techniques.
Fincibec’s Naxos brand will show Alloy, a tile collection inspired by the texture and tones of metal, available in warm and cool shades. Patterned tile collections displaying popular trends in design, such as terrazzo, nostalgia and botanical motifs, and internationally recognized designer collaborations will also be available in a variety of colorus and sizes. Companies such as Ceramica Vogue will also showcase their Confetti collection – a graphic pattern in pastel tones designed by the Italian firm Marcante-Testa – while Florim will feature a large-format, thin tile series called Artwork that captures a terrazzo design in shades inspired by classic Italian cities as well as bold color options.
ICFF will offer architects and designers the chance to network and speak with these manufacturers directly, while learning more about the wide range of Italian ceramic products that are available for commercial, residential and institutional design needs in North America.
