Led by Oki Sato, Nendo is practically a household name. Last April, the Tokyo design studio presented numerous lines for various manufacturers, including a brilliant chandelier for Lasvit, and this year it will doubtless rise to the occasion once again.

Shown here in renderings, the Nendo Collection for Bisazza Bagno – the bath line of Bisazza, the pre-eminent Italian manufacturer of mosaic tiles – is elegant yet unusual. The bathtub is clad in wood, and seems like an eclectic assortment of boxes (for towels and skincare, one presumes) and the mirrors feature rounded glass sections contained in a slim frame. Delicate boxy outlines are a recurring motif in the collection, which includes cabinets with drawers that slide out sideways from a slender frame and flower pots and clocks that might have lept off a page of line drawings.

Nendo has also designed the dazzling setting for Bisazza’s entire product launch. The Bisazza installation will also showcase the company’s full collection of mosaics, with new patterns by Nendo as well as by Jaime Hayon and Marcel Wanders.

Bisazza will display the new collection at Via Savona 56, part of Fuorisalone.
