The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

Reading I just read The Social Animal, by David Brooks. It’s a beautiful story of two couples who are incredibly happy, but everything is explained through social science – a very nice combination of non-fiction and novel.

Watching I liked “Her” so much. I appreciated Spike Jonze’s vision of what life could be like in five to 10 years’ time. Architects might not make such a prediction of the future, but this is how they should work. It’s a wonderful way of getting inspired.

Surfing Shareyourmeal.net is a terrific concept for those who live alone. It connects you with other people in your neighbourhood, then everyone brings food and eats together. I like the idea that new forms of efficiency can still take place in our culture.
