While Cersaie is best known for ceramic tiles, five massive halls at the fair are devoted to bathroom settings and fixtures. Here are nine products that caught our attention as we walked the show floor.
1 Starck Organic by Axor
This new four-piece bathroom collection by long-time collaborator Philippe Starck features a slick, sculptural faucet that boasts a low-flow rate (3.5 litres per minute). It’s equipped with a control at the top of the mixer that oversees temperature settings, and an on/off switch at the base.
2 Raindance by Hansgrohe
Philippe Grohe, of the family-run German business, demonstrates how the best-selling Raindance shower head works. Push a button on the handle to switch water pressure seamlessly from a gentle to vigorous spray.
3 Attache by GSG Ceramic Design
This Italian manufacturer launched a collection of ceramic bathroom furnishings complete tubs, bidets and red and white stools that double as magazine racks.
4 Asta by Cea
Designer Romano Adolini created this attractive architectural faucet for sinks and bidets in stainless steel. Finishes include satin or polished, and the silicone hose comes in white, teal, grey and cobalt.
5 Volo by Flaminia
This wash basin features a chrome frame – ideal for hanging towels or magazines – and glass shelves for toiletries.
6 SPA_CE by Milldue
The Treviso-based company unveiled this gorgeous monolithic glass-sided bathtub built for two.
7 Deque by Dornbracht
This flat, wide spout by Sieger Design comes in understated chrome or matte black, with either a single lever or almost-flat cylindrical mixers.
8 Horizontal Shower by Dornbracht
This horizontal shower bed is equipped with top and bottom sprays, inviting the user to lie down on either her back or stomach.
9 Lissio by Lineabeta
The Venetian manufacturer debuted new colours and finishes for Lissio, a popular bathroom sink and stand. Accessories include Bandoni, a powder-coated aluminum laundry basket.
