Every May, New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) briefly transforms Manhattan’s Javits Center into a global hub of design. Returning for its 2025 edition on May 18-20, New York’s three-day spring awakening is poised for a landmark edition. This year, the annual fair — which coincides with the NYCxDesign Festival, taking place May 15-21 — offers a wealth of highlights, including the marquee Wanted Look Book, which fosters a rich dialogue for the North American design community, putting leading creative thinkers from across the U.S. into conversation with their Mexican and Canadian counterparts.

This year, the fair is organized around the theme of “Designing in Harmony,” emphasizing a multi-sensory and human-centred ethos that celebrates multicultural perspectives and reflects the diversity and dynamism of the global design industry. The 2025 show includes a redesigned floor plan, expanded international participation and new partnerships that underscore the fair’s goal of fostering a universal and deeply inclusive design culture.

Ahead of ICFF 2025, details of the Wanted Look Book are also now taking shape, offering an evolving preview of this year’s eclectic and inspiring exhibitors. For starters, Canadian design is well represented, with the likes of Toronto’s Anony and Mary Ratcliffe Studio, Vancouver artist and sculptor Claudine Gévry and Montreal-based ināt furniture and TIBO Lighting (to name just a few) set to join this year’s showcase, which features 72 exhibitors — and counting.

Conceived as an “in-person portfolio” for members of the architecture and design community to connect with other North American designers, makers and entrepreneurs — as well as source original designs and products — the collegial space is complemented by the Look Book Lounge, a dedicated zone for respite and conversation.

Alongside the Look Book, ICFF’s Wanted programming includes the popular Launch Pad and Schools Showcase, which offer emerging designers and students respectively a vital opportunity to join a design conversation of global luminaries and new talents. All told, ICFF 2025 is set to feature over 450 brands, as well as emerging designers from 35 countries. This year’s eclectic program will be rounded out by the ICFF Talks series, featuring a focused lineup of speakers including Patrizia Moroso, Dieter Vander Velpen, Jared Blake, Ben Aranda, Esther Chang and Daniel Germani.
