Coverings gathers in a diversity of brands that push the limits of tile innovation with their super-slim panels, state-of-the-art embossment techniques and sheer aesthetic prowess. In all, the largest international trade fair and exposition dedicated to ceramic tile and natural stone boasts 800 exhibitors.
The trade fair also offers 60 educational seminars, covering everything from grout’s evolution to proper installation techniques for stone and glass. As well, it provides sessions on future trends; Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute will discuss what the next big hues will be, while Marc Kushner of Architizer will discuss the biggest influences on architecture.
The show will also be packed with special display features. Be sure to catch the results of Project: Green, a display of sustainable projects that inventively employ tile and stone; and the Art Tile Village, a space dedicated to specialty tiles handmade according to old-world traditions. Also, the Ceramics of Italy pavilion will transform a 280-square-metre space into a topographic piazza by e+i studio wherein 50 companies – including Refin, Viva, Century and Settecento – will launch new products.
