Ladies & Gentlemen has an eye for vintage aesthetics and basic materials. The studio’s Superior Server family, which launched last year and was recently updated with a turquoise addition, is inspired by the bright plastic grips of hand tools. The oversized stainless steel serving utensils feature ornate handles dipped in coloured polymer for a juxtaposition of old and new. In addition to the new finish, the spoon, carving fork, and slotted spoon are available in off-white, yellow and orange.
The latest version of the Chalk-it-to-me Piggy Bank is cast in pigmented ceramic to create a chalkboard surface. It features a cork nose (after all, who would want to smash such a handsome bank?) and a knotted leather tail. Each pig is numbered – there are only 100 – and comes with two chalk sticks and a wiping cloth.
Find these products at the New York International Gift Fair, on until February 3 or visit the Ladies & Gentlemen online shop, which features the studio’s own products as well as vintage pieces that it has collected.
