Reykjavik by Vifa

The Danish purveyor of wireless speakers just launched this super small, super cool portable speaker, named for the Icelandic capital. It’s pebble-like shape offers 360-degree sound, and the Bluetooth connectivity allows two speakers to link and play in stereo. Available in high-quality Kvadrat wool or rough, anodized aluminum, both versions are fitted with a sturdy leather strap for maximum portability.

Quip electric toothbrush

Quip strips away all the bulk and wires from your standard electric toothbrush, turning the bulky tool into a sleek, travel-ready accessory. Each brush comes with a tall, slim holder that flips around to serve as a travel case and also attaches to countertops, mirrors, or tiles with suction. The brushes, which are sold in silver, black, copper, gold, blue, and green, feature a 30-second interval timer and operate using a standard AAA battery.

Ostrich Loop by Banana Studio

From the team behind the weird and wildly successful Ostrich Pillow, the Ostrich Loop is a slightly more subtle solution for sleeping on planes or other places that aren’t your bed. Pulling double duty as a sleep mask and a pillow, the cushy head wrap lets you comfortably plunk your head down anywhere handy, and blocks light. And with the ears left accessible, you can throw on a pair of noise cancelling headphones and drown out the world around you completely.

Tech Dopp Kit 2

Like a toiletry kit for your cables and chargers, this slick leather case makes neat work of packing your tech for travel. Available in Regular, Mini and Grande sizes, the kits are made with designers and other creatives in mind, making room for gear such as micro lenses for smart phone cameras, USB cables, GoPro cameras, portable batteries, power cords and even fountain pens.

Daily Fiction by Normann Copenhagen

Speaking of tech, sometimes we all need to put the smartphones aside, unplug, and unwind. A long flight or even a train ride can be a great time to do just that, and a nice low tech tool such as a notebook and pencils can be the perfect travelling companion. The autumn/winter 2017 additions to Normann Copenhagen’s Daily Fiction stationery collection include a new series of stylish notebooks bound with over-sized gold spirals and canvas-wrapped covers.

Nina Mûr Goes Memphis eyewear

Stand out in a crowd, anywhere you happen to be, with a pair of shades from this sculptural collection launched in celebration of Ettore Sottsass’s 100th birthday. The brand, known for its wooden eyewear, mixed things up with this line, realized in laminate from Italian manufacturer Abet Laminati. The collection includes the basic pieces shown, as well as more daring and colourful interpretations of the same forms.
