Andreu World celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2025 with the launch of a very special edition of its International Design Contest. Under the theme of “70 Years Manufacturing a Better World,” the objective of this year’s contest reflects the standards that have always guided Andreu World: sustainability, innovation, quality and social commitment.

Brief

Since 1955, Andreu World has developed a solid industrial culture based on the manufacture of high-quality seating and tables. Believing in the hallmarks of good design, production capacity and a commitment to sustainability, this special edition invites participants to present a seat and/or table design that reflects the values that serve as the basis for all of Andreu World’s creations. Seating categories include chairs, armchairs, stools, benches and sofas, while tables categories include meeting and conference tables, coffee tables and side tables; the limits for innovation in sustainable design are endless.

Competition Requirements

The following material must be submitted by each participant:

• A prototype of the proposed piece (scale 1:5)
• A technical report of the project as complete as possible
• Can include: plans, diagrams, sketches, renders, images of the piece, etc.

Participants are also asked to consider:

• Although not compulsory, a video presentation is highly recommended and will be viewed in a positive light.
• The video should explain the project and/or show details of the model in a creative way.
• The use of sustainable materials is imperative, particularly the following:
  • Wood
  • Innovative Materials
  • Recycled and Recyclable Materials
  • Other Materials
  • PURE ECO
  • BIO Thermopolymer
  • Circular ONE

Eligibility

• The 2025 Andreu World International Design Contest is open both to design students and to professionals without age limit.

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded:

• 1st prize of 4,000€
• 2nd prize of 2,000€
• 3 special mentions
