Each year, the ASLA Professional Awards honor the best in landscape architecture from around the globe.

Award recipients receive featured coverage in Landscape Architecture Magazine, the magazine of ASLA, and in many other design and construction industry and general-interest media. Award recipients, their clients, and advisors will be honored at the awards presentation ceremony during the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture in Miami Beach, October 2-5, 2020.

Eligibility

To enter the General Design, Urban Design, Residential Design, or Analysis and Planning categories, the official entrant must currently be an Associate, Full, or International ASLA member, or eligible to join ASLA in one of those membership categories. The Research and Communications categories are open to non-landscape architecture professionals. The Landmark Award entry fee does not include complimentary membership to ASLA.

All entries become the property of ASLA and will be retained in the collections of the ASLA Library and Archives. Entrants are responsible for clearing photographs with photographers for publication and reproduction by ASLA. ASLA will provide proper photography and other project credits when using photos, but will not assume responsibility for any copyrights or photography fees. ASLA retains the right to publish photos submitted in winning entries in Landscape Architecture Magazine, on the ASLA website, in promoting the awards program, and in other products in conjunction with promoting landscape architecture.

The jury process is “blind.” In other words, the identities of the entrant and creative team are not revealed to the jury. Members of the professional awards jury, as well as the firms, organizations, agencies, or employers they represent, are not eligible to enter the professional awards program. ASLA retains the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the program requirements or that presents a conflict of interest.
