This competition invites you to create and share your vision, question, demand, or concern about sustainable design and climate change in architectural education. In a short video or poster, share your ideas and concepts, read the competition requirements and submit your work. Sharing your work can make you eligible for cash prizes awarded by a international jury.

Submission Requirements

The following two formats are accepted:

1) Poster: Mix of graphics and text in a design that is both visually-striking and thought-provoking. Be original and remember all images, quotes and sources that are not your own, must be correctly cited, use APA style. Format: PDF, max. size 11” x 17” horizontal or vertical (max. 15 MB)

2) Short video: Moving images, interviews, animation, or any combination of techniques. Be sure to have embedded credits and a title, and note that the video content must be suitable for any audience.
Format: MOV or MP4 (max. 400 MB; max. 90 seconds).

To enter, first complete a student survey if you are a Canadian student, and then email your submission to climatearchca@gmail.com.

Eligibility

Submissions are accepted from students of architecture anywhere in the world. You can submit in a group or individually. One person needs to be the main contact, and it is up to them to distribute the prize if applicable. One submission per person; even if you submit as a group, you can only participate once.

Awards

  • 1st Prize: $500
  • 2nd Prize: $300
  • People’s Choice: $300
  • A number of book prizes will also be awarded.
  • Winners will be able to share their work in an online exhibition.
