Desert Pavilion Architecture Competition

The Desert Pavilion International Architecture Competition invites participants to conceptualize an architectural element of contemplation to rest in the middle of the Los Cabos desert.

The architectural element of contemplation must allow visitors throughout the year and can contain spaces for temporary art exhibitions and event rooms. The pavilion will have a Beach Club, Viewpoint and Dock for yachts.

Designs must be able to withstand the effects of time and easy maintenance. Designs must also prioritize the natural landscape.

The winning proposal will be awarded US$4,000, as well as exhibition and diffusion in the main architecture sites worldwide. There will also be 3 honorable mentions.

An international jury, including David Chipperfield, Jorge Isaias, and Rossana Hu, will select the winning submissions.

The Desert Pavilion International Architecture Competition is open to all qualified architects and architecture students. Teams can consist of up to five people maximum.
