
Taiwan Water Resources Agency invites domestic and foreign professional designers of water conservancy, landscape, architecture, civil engineering, and planning to take Huwei Township, Yunlin County as the design and planning target, to propose a model benchmark for resilient townships that combines spatial aesthetics with water and environment, water and culture, and water and life.
The first international design competition for combining hydraulic engineering, resilience planning and space aesthetics in Taiwan.
This competition intends to break through traditional river engineering design, introduce innovative ideas, and hope to establish a demonstration case of river design space aesthetics through the perspective of resilient towns, plan a design blueprint for the overall concept, and integrate existing cultural resources.
In line with the development of local cities, it will continue the historical and cultural context of the sugar industry, and create a waterfront stitching goal and vision that integrates “water and safety”, “water and environment” and “water and culture”, injecting new energy into Huwei Town, and creating a unique charming waterfront resilient town.
