Ideasxwood is the most important contest in the world in the wood sector. This is an annual and international competition of ideas aimed at both university students and designers of all ages. This project aims to support the education of wood and its versatility as a noble, living and renewable raw material. When managed properly, wood is a stable renewable resource that can continue to be used for generations to come. TABU is the Italian excellence in wood dyeing, based in Cantù (CO), and produces dyed and natural veneers for furniture and interior architecture, as well as latest generation decorative wood surfaces.

Participants must submit projects that fit under the following categories:

• multilaminar veneers
• industrial inlays
• three-dimensional surfaces
• surfaces for latest generation boiserie
• wooden floors

The solutions presented must be original and aimed at enhancing the company’s work. The aesthetic quality of the presentation and the considerations regarding the technical feasibility of the project will be well evaluated. The indication in the project of at least one certified wood species as per the FSC® list and the attention to the reuse of wood and the optimization of its use in production processes will also be well evaluated.

Each participant, as an individual or as a group, may present up to a maximum of two projects. Registration for this competition is free. Participation is prohibited only to members of the Jury, their families, employees of the Tabu Spa company and their families.
