
Owned by the non-profit iF Design Foundation, the iF DESIGN AWARD received over 10,000 submissions from around 70 countries last year. In recognition of the many different disciplines and areas of design, works by designers will be represented in the following categories (each with their own additional sub categories):

- Architecture Interior
- Architecture
- Professional Concept
- User Experience (UX)
- User Interface (UI)
Eligibility
From international to local, from start-ups to famous brands, from designers to architects, from entry level to premium – if you produce or create products, projects or services you are welcome to participate in the iF DESIGN AWARD competition.
Judging Criteria
- Idea: Does the design achieve what it sets out to do? Is the design relevant? Is the idea appropriate (Fit for purpose)?
- Form: Does the design engage the target group (Emotional appeal)? How is it made (Execution)? Why does it look the way it does (Aesthetics)?
- Function: Is it easy to use (Usability)? Does it work well (Efficiency)? Does it serve the user?
- Differentiation: Is it new (Innovation)? Does it fit to the brand (Brand Differentiation)?
- Sustainability: Does it benefit society? Is it sustainable?
Prizes
- Product Design, Packaging Design submissions: EUR 3,000 per entry
- For all other disciplines: EUR 2,500 per entry
This year’s iF DESIGN AWARD is open for regular registration until September 27th, with time to finalize details and make corrections until November 6th.
