Ikh Uilsiin Ereld Group LLC is hosting a master plan concept design competition for architecture firms and talented individuals. The planned area covers 35 hectares (86 acres) site at Yarmag, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The project has the following purposes:
- Increase the number of urban parks by providing a healthy, people-centered environment;
- Create an environment and destination of international history, arts, and culture of different countries within the country’s international and diplomatic affairs;
- Develop tourist destination for locals and foreign guests that defines a new and unique image of the New City Center;
- Increase employment and develop small and medium enterprises.
This project aims to create a green environment and decrease the harmful effects of global warming and create sustainable jobs. As a result of this competition, a modern park in the New Center of Ulaanbaatar shall express an international theme (more than ten countries to be involved in the project), designs of iconic culture and heritage aspects of different countries. The Park will also be a place to organize various international events such as sports, culture, film festivals, conferences and many more.
Eligibility
The competition is open to everyone without registration fees with a prize pool of MNT 55 million (~ USD 19,200).
