The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

AZURE International Excellence Awards Thumbnail

The International Excellence Awards (IEA) honours visionary projects that are reshaping the world, from groundbreaking architectural marvels to forward-thinking sustainable designs.

Brief

Presented by the Architecture & Design Community (ADC) together with Design Skill Magazine, this global initiative invites the combined forces of talent, imagination and technology to aspire towards a better world. The multiplicity of carefully curated categories includes architecture, interior, landscape, fashion, furniture, lighting, packaging, product, transportation and communication. No architect or designer whose inspiring work aims to transform the world as it is currently known will be excluded from the opportunity to submit.

Judging and Prizes

The International Excellence Awards jury features a panel of renowned professionals from around the globe, bringing diverse expertise and perspectives. The evaluation process is blind, with all entrant information removed. Each project is independently scored on a 1-10 scale.

Awards will be granted based on final average score:

  • Platinum IEA (9-10 points): Celebrating the highest achievements in design.
  • Gold IEA (7.5-8.9 points): Honoring outstanding contributions that inspire.
  • Silver IEA (6-7.4 points): Recognizing projects with significant creative value.
  • Bronze IEA (4.5-5.9 points): Highlighting notable creative accomplishments.

Winners will receive:

  • A personalized International Excellence Awards certificate, logo and banner kit
  • An IE Awards Trophy
  • A personalized landing page on the Design Skill Magazine website, including a studio spotlight
  • Social media publication of their winning project to a platform of 300k followers across Instagram and Facebook
  • Selected winner highlights from media partners Amazing Architecture, Archidust and Espaco de arquitetura
