Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet & Leather is excited to announce their inaugural Furniture Design Contest. Beginning on February 1st, Jamie Stern is calling on all interior design professionals within the United States and Canada to submit an original lounge chair design for the chance to win a fully upholstered prototype.

Whether it’s a wholly new style of lounge chair, an update to a timeless classic or something in between, the contest celebrates creativity and invites the architecture and design community to produce the chair of their dreams. The submissions can be a CAD drawing, a 3D rendering or even a simple pencil sketch.

A Grand Prize Winner from each of the two regions – East and West – will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges and have their design turned into a fully upholstered lounge piece. The judges, all of whom are interior designers themselves, include: Christine Shanahan, Matthew Swope, and Tom Tessier.
