Living Ruins II

The Living Ruins II competition invites participants to design an open-air museum for the village of Dereiçi, Turkey. The challenge is to imagine how architecture and landscape can bring life back to the site by balancing memory with contemporary use. Participants are asked to create sensitive itineraries, public spaces, and multifunctional programs that narrate the village’s past without overwhelming it. Living Ruins II also calls for a visitor centre to serve as both a hub for tourists and a space for cultural activities, fostering slow tourism and supporting the local economy.
