The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

Rome Design Awards

The Rome Design Awards showcases work in architecture, interior design, product design, furniture, lighting, and beyond. The competition recognizes designers who pioneer new techniques and set new standards of excellence. This theme represents the journey of design from its classical roots to the present, spotlighting those who lead the charge in redefining the industry.

Submission Requirements

  • A synopsis of your design of approximately 350 words.
  • The submissions should be saved in a flattened JPEG or JPG format. (under 4MB, 1,200px wide is preferable, 300dpi, RGB).
  • Entries with audio/video must be submitted with a direct URL that will take judges directly to the work.

Prizes

  • Design of the Year: Only ONE highest score point from each category will be recognized as Product / Architectural / Interior / Furniture / Lighting / Packaging / Student Design of the Year.
  • Platinum Winner: 85-100 points
  • Gold Winner: 70-84 points
  • Silver Winner: 50-69 points

Eligibility

  • The Rome Design Awards accepts entries from architects, interior designers, product designers, packaging designers, lighting designers, furniture designers, artists, design agencies, students, and any designers of all background to submit their creative works, whether they are companies, teams/departments, innovators, manufacturers, suppliers, freelancers, hobbyists or students.
  • Entries must have been produced after January 1, 2021.
