Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

The fifth edition (2019/2020) of Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche’s scholarship program offers two six-monthly scholarships, one for each of the two thematic areas – Nature and gardens and Landscape design– inspired by the cultural heritage of Ippolito Pizzetti and Sven-Ingvar Andersson, respectively.

For the first scholarship (on the theme of Nature and gardens), the candidates will be asked to prepare a research project on the subject of the new landscapes emerging in the Anthropocene, with a special focus on issues relating to the relationship between human intervention and nature, preferably linked to the geography of Italy.

For the second scholarship (in Landscape design), candidates are asked to prepare a research project on the subject of the relationship between environmental acceleration and cultural attitudes with regard to garden and landscape design.

Candidates must individually submit a single, original research project, explicitly built around one of the two thematic areas.

The deadline for submitting the applications is set without exception to 30 August 2019. The duration of the scholarship is from 15 January 2020 to 15 July 2020.
