The Straw-Bale Eco-House competition is a contribution to the natural, sustainable and efficient homebuilding.
The eco-house will be built with a modular and prefabricated system of straw bales, a green roof, a greenhouse and consequently a high level of energy efficiency.
The house will be constructed in the appealing city of Guadalajara located in the center of Spain, very near the capital, Madrid.
Guadalajara, after a period of extensive economic development and urban growth, is vibrant and welcoming. It is a city steeped in history and brimming with hospitality as seen in the friendliness of its people.
