Architecture Sarasota will honour landscape architecture and urban design practice OLIN with the 2025 Philip Hanson Hiss Annual Lecture. Richard Roark, OLIN’s Chief Purpose Officer, will deliver this year’s address, “Time & Place: Bad Romance and Creative Realities.” OLIN is being recognized for its transformative landscapes that connect culture with the living world. This is exemplified by its recent revitalization of Sarasota’s Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, a 2024 TIME’s World’s Greatest Place. The 2025 Philip Hanson Hiss Annual Lecture and subsequent Award Ceremony will honour OLIN’s commitment to site-responsive design, environmental stewardship and community enrichment, reflecting the visionary principles of the Sarasota School of Architecture and Philip Hanson Hiss III.
