New York City’s month-long celebration of architecture, Archtober, returns for 2024. Culminating every October since 2011, Archtober promotes the discovery of architecture and design through experiences and content that are accessible to all. Archtober brings together over 100 partner institutions across the five boroughs (and some across the country) to celebrate the importance of architecture and design. Events range from building tours and lectures by design experts, to architecture-themed education programs and professional development offerings.
Beyond timed and ticketed events, the Archtober site will once again include “Anytime Activities,” a section of evergreen resources for architecture lovers of all ages. The Center for Architecture’s “Architecture at Home” resources and the Cooper Hewitt’s “Design It Yourself” series provide families with simple, downloadable instructions for DIY activities.
The full programme and festival theme for Archtober 2024 will be updated closer to the event dates and can be found here.
