Design Miami/ Basel 2023 returns to its origins, offering a focused presentation that brings together leading galleries for collectible design. The fair serves as a meeting point so that gallerists, collectors and design enthusiasts can share and discover works by experts in the field of design.
The fair will present 24 galleries, each offering rare and unique displays of collectible design on the fair’s ground floor. This intimate format is a celebration of the galleries that have shaped the market for collectible design today.
This year’s fair offers an array of highlights, with works spanning rare, historical objects to one-of-a-kind, contemporary designs and collaborations. This unique selection of works offers a rare presentation of the international evolution of the history of collectible design. The spectrum of old and new will also allow audiences to chart the influence of historic works on the contemporary designs we see today.
Design Miami/ Basel 2023 will be running June 13 – 18, 2023, with Preview Day on June 12. The fair takes place in a hybrid physical-digital model that allows audiences around the world to engage with the exhibitions. A 3D Virtual Tour will be available via Matterport technology, immersing online viewers onto the show floor. A selection of pieces on show at the fair will also be listed on the Design Miami/ website.
