Giuseppe Penone describes his artistic practice in Thoughts in the Roots as “a trail to express my adherence and belonging to nature, and it is with this thought that I have chosen the works of the exhibition.”
Giuseppe Penone is known as a leading figure in Arte Povera. He experimented with a wide range of materials including wood, iron, wax, bronze, terracotta and plaster. He is also known for his skill in bringing their individual physical qualities to the fore. The exhibition will showcase Penone’s continued interest in the relationship between humans and the natural world.
