The architectural production of Dekleva Gregorič Architects is unavoidably defined by the architectural legacy of the grand Slovene architect Jože Plečnik and his late-modernist successors. The Ljubljana-based firm’s work spans different scales and programs as well as diverse climates and localities. Understanding of the specific constraints and conditions of the context is crucial for any subtle response and becomes the ultimate generative tool that aims to challenge the obvious and to challenge the materiality. Aljoša Dekleva and Tina Gregorič speak as part of Daniels Faculty’s Hindsight is 20/20 lecture series.
