Be Original Americas, the non-profit advocacy group for original design, is launching its first worldwide virtual student fellowship program. 25+ companies will present a series of webinars to a global audience of students. From Copenhagen, Italy, The Netherlands to Michigan, San Francisco and North Carolina, students will get insights from leading brands, makers, architects and creators and learn about working in an industry that shapes the way we live, work, and play.
On June 15, John James Jenkin, the CEO of Kartell North America, speaks to the use of new BIOmaterials and their impact on the future of design. He’ll discuss how we will see a shift from Form + Function to Values + Function. Kartell, famous for the iconic Louis Ghost & Masters Chairs by Philippe Starck, as well as Componibili by Anna Castelli Ferrieri, continues to innovate with some of the greatest design minds in the world.
