Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

Library as Place Conference 2025 Toronto Thumbnail

The 2025 edition of the annual Library as Place Conference focuses on what Canadian library planners need now more than ever: ways to make meaningful, accessible and flexible spaces by getting inventive, thinking outside of the box and tapping into the library space building community. Libraries of all sizes and sectors are ambitiously working on transformations to meet the evolving needs of their communities. At the same time, they face ongoing challenges of keeping those spaces relevant and adaptable.

The 2025 Library as Place Conference aims to teach the library, municipal, design and architecture sectors about physical space. While hosted in Ontario, 150 delegates are being welcomed from every province and country. Participants from the public, school, special and academic library sectors will meet with municipal decision makers, architects and designers. From here, they may embark on design, building and renovation projects in the library space.
