An iterative process, design ideas continue to build upon past failures. d.talks invites you into the process of design, to participate in critical feedback loops that inform new ways of working.

Taking three different design scenarios, we’ll take the time to explore the complex issues that influence design’s impact. What barriers does design face in its aim to become more equitable and accessible?

This discussion is a safe space for thinking critically. The format invites your ideas and questions into the room. What’s failed, what’s working . . . and why?

Using a lens of failed architecture, Blanka Bracic (City of Calgary), María Galdón (Planta Landscape) and Philip Vandermey (Spectacle Bureau of Architecture and Urbanism) will each present design ideas to initiate the conversation. Think of this as a post-post-secondary crit, a place to question in order to better see.
