Diamond Schmitt Architects is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and technically focused Architect with a minimum of 8 years experience to join its Toronto office. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded architectural experience and a demonstrated passion for technical excellence in design.  The ideal applicant will have a passion for producing outstanding contract documents in a BIM environment, extensive knowledge in building envelope construction, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, very good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural detailing and documentation on projects in collaboration with the project architects and team members
• Developing and coordinating construction documents, including alignment with codes, standards and specifications
• Close coordination with engineering consultants
• Prepare architectural models and drawings using Revit and other modeling software
• Other duties as necessary

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated pursuit of excellence in design
• Degree in architecture, architectural engineering or architectural technology
• Advanced level of experience and skill in utilizing Revit
• Knowledge of high-performance building envelope construction
• Experience preparing design and construction documents for institutional and residential projects. Contract Administration experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment
