Turner Fleischer is seeking a highly experienced Architectural Project Manager to join their Toronto office and design studio. The role is hybrid, full-time, and will involve strategically managing and leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution, adherence to design intent, and successful delivery within established scope, schedule, and budget.

Turner Fleischer is a progressive Canadian design studio that excels at developing client-centric concepts based on their needs and grounded in their expertise. They also have in-house design departments for Architecture, Interior Design, and Experiential Graphic Design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project team in developing design concepts and detailed plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Direct the integration of project deliverables with documentation from external stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment, accuracy, and consistent communication across all project phases.
  • Oversee contract administration, including submittal reviews, RFI management, payment certification, project closeout, and participation in OAC meetings, ensuring smooth transition and adherence to the design intent.
  • Ensure all design decisions comply with current building codes and regulations and educate the team to maintain project integrity and compliance.
  • Create detailed work plans, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget, and adapt project schedules as needed to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Manage communication and relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring project goals alignment, delivering updates, addressing concerns, and fostering collaboration.
  • Lead financial project management, including fee proposals, billing, collections, and analysis for optimizing efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews to ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements, codes, regulations, and design standards.
  • Foster a supportive environment, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the team is focused and aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Architecture.
  • 8+ years of experience in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite and ability to review drawings for quality.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid role, with 3 days in-person at their studio.
