Gensler is hiring a mid-level Design/Project Manager with 10+ years of experience. You’ll be based out of their office in Newport Beach, California. This is an opportunity for Gensler’s Design/Project Manager to work/interact with and mentor junior staff to encourage a high level of design and ensure client satisfaction through being the main point of contact for the client in all work produced. Gensler is looking for someone who has solid experience in commercial interiors, strong programming and place planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead design management across diverse project types and all phases of delivery
- Develop schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, agencies, and consultants
- Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements
- Oversee project accounting and draft billing
- Contribute to marketing efforts, proposals, and interviews
- Manage teams, delegate tasks, and mentor junior staff
- Ensure quality through document coordination and review
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 10+ years of design management experience working on corporate interior projects
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of interior design/architectural projects
- Ability to provide excellent client service and assure project profitability
- Understanding of Commercial Real Estate process as it relates to commercial interior projects
- Desire to mentor junior staff
- Strong programming and space planning skills
- High level of design competence and expertise in FF&E
- Knowledge of state and local building codes including accessibility
- Computer savvy with moderate or better skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project), and AutoCAD.
- Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop skills are a benefit
