Sustainable, a division of Collaborative Architecture Inc. is currently seeking an Intermediate Architectural Designer to play a key role in achieving their vision to create beautiful, durable, low carbon solutions to complex design challenges. This position will require you to collaborate closely with the firm’s Clients, Consultants, and the rest of the team to realize affordable low-carbon buildings in the housing and social justice sectors various scales.
As an Intermediate Architectural Designer for Sustainable, you will be given the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for a project’s success as you grow and develop your skills as you ensure that Collaborative Architectures high standards are consistently met.
Day-to-day activities may include:
- Sketching design iterations
- Preparing presentation materials for clients
- Preparing permit, costing, and construction drawings in ArchiCAD
- Liaising with builders and consultants (calls & emails)
- Site visits
- Answering client calls and meetings with clients
- Reviewing the building code and municipal zoning bylaws
- Finding and determining building materials and specifications for projects

- Compensation package of $65k – $90k made up of:
- Base Salary of $60,000 – $75,000 reviewed annually
- Annual profit sharing plan ($5k – $15k p.a.)
