KPMB Architects is hiring an Intermediate Architectural Illustrator with 3 to 5 years of experience. You’ll be based out of their office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is an opportunity to contribute to design discussions by formulating and presenting visualization decisions effectively. KPMB Architects is looking for someone with strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate design concepts into visual formats including diagrams, illustrations, photo-realistic renderings.
• Produce photo-realistic renderings, architectural illustrations and comprehensive 3D models.
• Produce walkthrough videos and animations showcasing the flow and functionality of the built environment.
• Prepare visual assets, including boards, presentations and or digital content.
• Support project teams on the execution of internal and external renderings, offering both guidance on design technique and standards.
• Visually represent KPMB’s commitment to sustainable, equitable, and accessible design.
• Participate in post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects.
• Lead an iterative design process, considering feedback and refining and continuously evolving the voice of KPMB’s architectural illustrations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Architectural Studies is an asset.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an architectural visualization role supporting drawings, illustrations and photorealistic renderings.
• Working proficiency in current versions of 3Ds Max, Corona Render, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite, Rail Clone, and Forest Pack. General knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Rhino is an asset.
• Ability to understand and formulate visualization decisions and present for discussion.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task while managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
