Dubbeldam Inc. Architecture + Design is hiring an Intermediate Intern Architect with 5+ years of post-graduate work experience, preferably with some experience in small to medium-sized practices. You’ll be based out of their office in Toronto, Ontario, working on-site. This is a significant opportunity to take initiative and follow through on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Producing drawings in all phases of an architectural project (SD, DD, CD) with a high level of proficiency.
• Coordinating architectural projects from Schematic Design to end of Construction Administration including overseeing the work of and/or collaborating with other team members.
• Successfully interact with and take direction from more senior team members.
• Corresponding with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and suppliers to obtain and promptly share information as needed to keep the project on track.
• Tasks would include working on multiple projects at various stages and scales.

Qualifications

• Experience producing and coordinating construction drawings and details
• Solid understanding of building systems, technology, and the Ontario Building Code
• Familiarity with local zoning and authority approval processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset
• Skilled in 3D rendering (SketchUp, Enscape)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Project and team management experience is an asset
• For senior candidates: experience delegating and supervising staff
• Experience with LEED or Passive House projects is an asset
• LEED and/or WELL accreditation is an asset
