Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is hiring a Junior Designer with 0 to 3 years of post-graduate experience. You’ll be based out of their office in Los Angeles, USA, working on-site. This is an opportunity for BIG‘s Junior Designer to share their knowledge and skills with other BIGsters, and mentor others when they can. They are looking for someone who takes initiative, does research, not afraid to try new things.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field of study
• 0-3 years of post-graduate experience in the Architecture field
• Authorized to work in the US
• Proficiency in Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape and Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Revit experience is preferred
• Experience with physical model making
• Strong conceptual and design skills
• The ability to develop design options in collaboration with design teams and to take initiative in response to direction from project leadership
• The ability to develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the projects
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage one’s own time
• A flexible and open attitude towards new and iterative ways of working
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Well-rounded project experience (Concept Design and Detail Design) is preferred
