Perkins&Will is hiring a Junior Interior Designer with up to 1 year of experience within the industry. You’ll be based out of their office in London, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to work remotely. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global commercial and workplace projects, while developing your skills through mentorship, collaboration, and their 12-month Graduate Recruitment Scheme. The Junior Interior Designer at Perkins&Will supports the interior design process through drawing production, material research, presentations, and space planning — while gaining experience across project phases and collaborating closely with design teams and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Assist throughout the interior design process, contributing to project goals and design excellence.
- Support the preparation of contract documents including floor plans, details, and finish schedules.
- Create presentation materials and models for client meetings.
- Contribute to space planing, programming, analysis, and area calculations.
- Research and select finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting with a focus on sustainability.
- Collaborate with project teams and consultants, participating in design reviews and studio activities.
- Apply creativity and curiosity to design tasks, continuously developing design skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- A degree in an Interior Design related field (required)
- Sound understanding of building codes, guidelines, programming and site analysis
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of conducting field observations and measurements, along with furniture and interior product specifications.
- Software skills: Revit (required), Adobe Creative Suite (required), Rhino/Grasshopper, Enscape/VRay
