Using abstract geometries, calligraphic lines and graphic forms to explore both colour and texture, the Backdrop V collection of wallcoverings is the fifth wallpaper series by paint expert studio Backdrop. Designed in Los Angeles and printed in Brooklyn, the wallcoverings feature original hand-crafted artworks and are made with a non-porous woven ground and subtle fibrous textures. 

Inspired by celestial beings, clouds, stars – all things in the sky, really – Heavenly Bodies has a small-scale motif with a three-dimensional quality: the irregular formations float and cast shadows against the solid ground. Available in Deep Green, Gray and Sand.

A visual interpretation of the word sequence that reads the same backward as forward, Palindrome is a large-scale design centred on a consistent motif that rotates and turns within its soft-edged border. Available in Sand, Sky and Teal. 

Rhapsody features a poetically meandering linework inspired by the lyrical movement of dance. Arranged horizontally, the bold linework is interspersed with areas of negative space. Available in Fog, Graphite and Terracotta.
