The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

A unique loom-knotted weaving technique gives this series of hand-made rugs the look of watercolour paintings with shifting tones and shadows – the weft (a single long thread) is passed through the warp perpendicularly, creating the braid and fleece. Polychrome dyes enhance the resulting play of light and dark.

Made from 90 per cent bamboo and 10 per cent cotton, the rugs are naturally dust and mite repellent, resistant to pilling and have a lustrous finish.

Part of the Hand Made series, the Bamboo Shaded collection is offered in a palette of eight neutral and subdued jewel-toned colourways, ranging from the cooler Greige, Sage, Ice and Stone to the warmer Brick, Black, Mustard and Seawood.

Two standard sizes are offered and custom sizes can be ordered from a roll.
