With the launch of its Chic lounge chair, KunDesign pays homage to both the classic director’s chair of the 20th century and the ancient Roman curule seat, a movable and foldable stool with X-shaped legs.
Designed by KunDesign founder Kun Qi, the Chic lounge chair translates its old-world influences into an elegant and sophisticated seat defined by slender lines.
The metal X-shaped frame of the Chic lounge chair from KunDesign is made using a special casting technology that both simplifies and optimizes the structure; using this process, every component is integrated to the body, giving it stability while maintaining a lightweight aesthetic.
To maximize the comfort of the Chic lounge chair, the generously wide seat and backrest feature quick-drying sponge sling cushions made with hand-stitched, three-dimensional fabrics. An optional, thickly padded one-piece cushion can also be added; a cylindrical teak wood handle on the back of the cushion makes it easy to lift off and remove completely.
Three colour options are available – Clay, Jasper Green and White – which are complemented by beautiful teak accents on the armrests that make a subtle yet impactful statement that highlights the sleek design.
Suitable for a variety of private patios, terraces and backyards, the X-shaped frame of the Chic lounge chair from KunDesign allows it to be folded down for easy, space-saving storage.
